Job Purpose

The Parts Sales Manager will be responsible for driving wholesale parts sales growth and developing strong relationships with Independent Retail Fitters (IRF) in the market. This role will focus on expanding the customer base, increasing revenue, and ensuring smooth operations of parts sales through effective planning, pricing, and customer engagement.

Job Responsibility

1. Wholesale Parts Sales Management

  • Lead and manage the wholesale parts sales department, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key wholesale customers such as Large Parts Retailers, Small Retail Shops, Workshops, and Fleet Operators.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue from wholesale parts sales channels.
  • Collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure stock availability and timely deliveries to wholesale customers.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends, adjusting pricing and sales strategies to stay competitive.
  • Conduct regular reviews of sales performance, preparing reports and forecasts for senior management.

2. Sales and Development for Independent Retail Fitters (IRF)

  • Identify potential Independent Retail Fitters (IRF) in the region and develop a targeted approach to onboard and nurture relationships with them.
  • Develop customized sales solutions and offers to meet the specific needs of IRF customers.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with IRF partners by providing exceptional service, technical support, and regular product updates.
  • Create and execute promotional campaigns, incentives, and loyalty programs to drive sales and brand loyalty among IRF customers.
  • Ensure that IRF customers have access to appropriate training and product knowledge to effectively sell and fit parts.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with wholesale and IRF clients to foster repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Act as the key point of contact for all customer inquiries, resolving issues efficiently to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular client visits to understand their needs, gather feedback, and offer tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and customer service teams to improve customer communication and satisfaction.

4. Sales Strategy and Reporting

  • Develop and implement sales plans that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to create actionable insights and strategies to grow sales.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the sales team, providing coaching and development opportunities as needed.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to senior management.

5. Team Management

  • Lead and manage the parts sales team, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and equipped to meet sales targets.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to the sales team to help them meet individual and team performance goals.
  • Set clear KPIs for the sales team and track their progress against targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and identify areas for development and improvement.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in automotive parts sales, preferably with experience in wholesale and IRF sectors.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and the needs of IRF customers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and sales data to develop effective strategies.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a sales team.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
